Applications
Size Press Screening
Removes unwanted particles and agglomerates from sizing materials applied to paper, maintaining process consistency.
PAC & Alum Screening
Separates unwanted particles from Poly Aluminium Chloride and alum used in water/process treatment.
Coating Powder Screening
Eliminates lumps, oversized particles and foreign material from coating materials before processing.
Backwater Screening
Separates fibers, fillers and solids from backwater generated during manufacturing.
Fiber Recovery
Extracts valuable fibers from process water streams for reuse.
Why It Matters
Paper and pulp manufacturing runs on a chain of powders and liquid streams — sizing chemicals, coating powders, size press additives, black liquor — and any lumps or foreign particles that make it through can show up as defects in the finished sheet or clog downstream equipment.
Consistent screening at each of these stages is what keeps paper quality uniform batch to batch, and keeps process equipment like pumps and coaters running without unplanned stoppages.
Our vibro screens handle size press and coating powder screening, PAC & alum separation, and backwater screening in one process line — removing agglomerates and oversized material before it reaches the paper machine.
Size press and PAC/alum applications run acidic, so we build these screens in SS 316L stainless steel for long service life and corrosion resistance rather than a lower grade that would degrade under continuous acidic exposure.
The same screening step also recovers usable fiber from backwater and process water streams, cutting material loss and improving overall yield.
